Since we last visited with you, we are pleased to report that many Native American men and women in prisons throughout the United States are still receiving the Sacred Circles lessons and are doing much to “keep their circles strong” in these very challenging environments.
Recently, there have been so many requests for the Sacred Circles lessons that we have had to create a waiting list for those desiring the materials. The Institute simply does not currently have the funds to support all those who want to receive the lessons. David, Mattie and the Sacred Circles staff are currently exploring a number of funding sources that may be able to help with this situation.
A $60 donation from any of you will allow one prisoner per year to receive the Sacred Circles lessons. Any amount, of course, will assist us to continue this important work. Those of you in prison who have friends and relatives on the “outside” are also invited to donate to the Institute in your behalf to help us to meet the many requests we receive for the lessons, books and various ceremonial items.
We continue to visit the prisons when we are invited and as much as our time and resources allow. These visits continue to be a blessing to each of us who sit in ceremonial space and the various teaching circles as we open our hearts and minds to each other and the Spirit of Creation.
To those of you in prison, or who may have family members there, please know that we pray for you daily. We at the Institute are deeply committed to doing all that we can to support you as you walk in a good way on Mother Earth.
